Job Title: Business Development Analyst (French Speaker)

Job Description
Our client is looking to hire an innovative, detailed-oriented Business Development Analyst (French Speaker) to help drive the company’s Francophone Africa expansion plans. They will be responsible for day-to-day deal origination and client engagement so French proficiency is required. This individual will be working closely with Product, Customer Success, Credit and Operations teams in order to deliver a scalable, integrated customer experience.
Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Establish partnership with international trade organizations and local groups that facilitate cross-border trade between Francophone Africa and Europe.
- Source, cultivate and close new credit deals across Francophone Africa (including Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Cameroon, Rwanda, Togo).
- Research and analyze new business segments (exporters/importers, startups, processors etc.) to identify and engage new opportunities.
- Assist with securing funding from investors.
- Writing and presenting proposals to prospective clients and reports to investors.
- Management of CRM and updating customer data.
- Support due diligence by reviewing submitted materials, identifying information gaps and following up with customers.
Requirements/Qualifications
- 1+ years of relevant work experience.
- Fluency in English and French is required.
- Background in Consulting, Investment/Commercial Banking, and Business Development.
- Strong academic/professional track record.
- Experience working in a high-growth, startup environment is a plus.
- Excellent communication, business writing and presentation skills.
- Strong MS Office skills, Excel spreadsheet / Powerpoint / Word skills.
- Competency in researching sales leads and presenting pitch documents.
