Our client is at the forefront of the solar energy transition, integrating renewable power with smart energy storage and conventional diesel or gas fueled power generation.

They are looking to hire a strategic business development manager who would identify, create, and optimize opportunities to enhance company profits. You will also assist the organization to analyze diverse product offerings and markets, shape policies, strategies, and sales tactics for sales growth.

Location-: Surulere, Lagos

Job responsibilities

  • Drive growth in large corporations and smaller enterprises by applying market insights, strategy development, and sales generation to optimize profits, mitigate risks and achieve company objectives.
  • Identify and create business opportunities such as organic growth and potential mergers and acquisitions for their organizations and assess their potential fit against overall strategic and operational objectives.
  • You will provide strategic guidance across sales team, coordinate and manage the team to achieving sales objectives.
  • You will facilitate customer and partner proposals, negotiating and managing the execution of power purchase agreements to promote the near, mid and long-term success of the organization power and renewable energy generated businesses.
  • Research, locate and meet with prospective clients to explain your employer’s solutions. pursue leads and follow through to a successful contractual agreement.
  • Screen prospective clients by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, growth and financial potential
  • Provide commercial, market, and strategic input into the pricing modelling process for clients
  • Close new business deals by understanding client requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and acting as a liaison between the client and your employer
  • Oversee renewal of relevant compliance permits; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Follow the latest industry developments and stay up-to-date on corporate competitors. Seek out knowledge and information on changing market dynamics in the energy industry.

Qualification /Requirements

  • HND/BSc in Business Management, Engineering or any relevant program
  • Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in business development or related field, preferably Power and energy sector.
  • Must have experience in selling of technical product e.g. solar water borehole, solar powered signage and billboard, solar powered surveillance camera systems, turnkey solar, street lights, Inverters, CCTV Cameras, Hotel TV & DSTV distribution, IP Phones & Intercom etc.
  • Possesses strong analytical skills, ability to work in a self-directed fashion within a team-oriented structure, solid work ethic, and professional maturity
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities and the ability to perform in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Demonstrates a passion for business development and client relationship management as well as expertise in business development process and analysis execution
  • Possesses knowledge and understanding of project finance, energy engineering, and proposal writing
  • Possesses and demonstrates the ability to think ahead, plan and achieve key performance goals over a period of time
  • Demonstrates an ability to multi-task and manage several priorities; the ability to lead and be result oriented
  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proximity to Surulere area of Lagos is an added advantage

Net Salary – 200,000, Plus Commission and other benefits
