We are currently seeking experienced and dynamic Departmental Assistant Store Managers to join our team and support the daily operations of our store.

Position Overview:

The Departmental Assistant Store Managers will assist in managing the daily activities of the store, ensuring smooth operations on the shop floor, and delivering excellent customer service. We are looking for two Assistant Managers with specific experience in different areas: one with expertise in electronics and another with a background in supermarket operations. Both positions require strong supervisory skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively.

 

Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Supervise and manage staff, ensuring high levels of motivation and performance.
  • Ensure the store is well-stocked, clean, and visually appealing.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment.
  • Implement and maintain store policies and procedures.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Analyze sales data and assist in implementing strategies to improve sales and profitability.
  • Conduct regular staff training and development sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on store performance to senior management.

 

Requirements/Qualifications

  • OND / HND / BSc in Business Administration or any related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail setting, such as Prince Ebeano, Spar, or similar.
  • Proven experience in managing store operations and shop floor management.
  • Strong supervisory experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in retail management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Specific Requirements:
    • Electronics Assistant Manager: Must have experience in electronics and have worked with brands like Samsung, LG, etc., for at least 3 years.
    • Supermarket Assistant Manager: Must have worked in a supermarket for at least 3 years.
