Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

• We are urgently looking for a bright and experienced individual to join our fundraising team as a Grants Officer.
• In addition to researching and writing grants proposals on behalf of the non-profit organization, The successful candidate will be in charge of maintaining a grants calendar to monitor the application process and keep track of various deadlines.
• The candidate should be well skilled, articulated and comfortable reaching out to institutions and potential donors as well as communicating with organization management regarding their financial needs.
• Our ideal candidate is someone who will be able to enthusiastically help our organization attain the donation needed to serve the community.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Research, prepare and submit proposals to donor agencies for funding
• Follow all requirements and deadlines for grants application.
• Maintain a grants calendar to monitor progress
• Communicate with potential donors/ institutional donors.
• Write sponsorship packages/Concept Notes for projects
• Continuously search for, and Identify new fundings opportunities.
• Review budget proposal with CFD or other team leaders.

Requirements / Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree is required
• 2 years of work experience.
• Exceptional research skills
• Prior experience in grant or proposal writing
• Experience with a non-profit organization is a strong advantage
• Computer proficiency
• Detail-oriented.

Work Incentives

• Work is mostly remote but fieldwork is also required.
• Data call credit and transport allowances are included in the package.
• Decent base pay, with commission-based rewards.
