Job Description

  • The sales and marketing manager will be responsible for managing all sales activities and marketing activities for the organization whole also obtaining profitable results through the sales team by developing the team through motivation, counselling, skills development and product knowledge development.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing the sales administration function, operational performance reporting, and advising senior management on maximizing business relationships and creating an environment where customer service can flourish.
  • Managing the sales team, developing a business plan covering sales, revenue, and expense controls, meeting agreed targets, and promoting the organization’s presence throughout the marketplace (Lagos and beyond).
  • Assisting in the development of the annual marketing plan, specifically advising on: realistic forecasts for each product and sales promotion programmes plans.
  • Ensure that all sales representative activities are in accordance with the guidelines of the organization’s staff manual
  • Responsible for the planning, recruitment, direction, organization and control of sales managers and sales representatives to accomplish specific objectives.
  • Responsible for monitoring the performance of the sales team by establishing a system of reports and communications involving sales reports, cyclical sales meetings, sales newsletters for distribution and electronic bulletins for distribution.
  • Plan and implement a specific appraisal system that describes the responsibilities and performance standards for each member of the sales team, set individual territory sales and commission targets and administer the commission plan.
  • Personally observe the performance of sales representatives in the field on a regular basis.
  • Provide high standards of ongoing training for the sales representatives so that they possess sufficient technical knowledge to present information on the company’s products in an accurate and balanced manner.
  • Conducting market surveys on a regular basis to ensure price competitiveness in the marketplace, while advising on appropriate pricing for available stock items.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the management.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience is desired
  • Minimum of Higher Diploma (HND) or Degree is desired
  • Experience working in a technology/retail setting is desirable
  • Successful candidate will be expected to have excellent analytical and reasoning skills; the ability to prioritize effectively and work efficiently without direct supervision; and be able to communicate effectively
  • Related certifications are desirable.


  • N80,000 – N110,000 per month (Depending on experience).
