Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite

Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Job Summary:

Our recruitment agency is seeking a dedicated and proactive Operations Manager for a hair store located on Lagos Island. The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring excellent customer service, managing transactions, and maintaining accountability for store activities in the absence of the owner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. The Operations Manager will work closely with the internal auditor to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure smooth functioning of all store activities and resolve any operational issues that arise.
• Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure accurate stock records.
• Provide exceptional customer service and address customer inquiries and complaints promptly.
• Ensure all sales transactions are recorded accurately and payments are processed correctly before items are handed over.
• Monitor and account for all store payments and receipts.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
• Prepare and maintain detailed financial records and reports.
• Supervise and coordinate store staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Foster a positive work environment and ensure staff adherence to store policies and procedures.
• Drive sales by implementing effective sales strategies and promotions.
• Collaborate with the owner to develop and execute marketing initiatives.
• Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
• Oversee visual merchandising and display of products.

Requirements/Qualifications

•  ND/HND in Business Management, Retail Management, or related field.
• Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a hair or beauty store setting.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency in financial management and record-keeping.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and handle challenging situations effectively.
• Female preferred.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to work onsite and manage store operations independently.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with a supportive team.
• Experience or willingness to work closely with an internal auditor to ensure operational and financial accuracy.
