Job Title:                    Livelihood Project Officer

Location:                   Kwaya Kusar, Borno state Nigeria
Position Status:      Full-time

Period:                        October, 2021 to September, 2023

Report Directly to: Program Manager

General Position Summary

The Livelihood Program Officer is responsible for the day to day implementation of activities planned activities. Project Officer will work closely with the Program Manager, MEAL team, and operations staff (including finance) to ensure that activities are implemented according to schedule, budget and required quality.

Specific Objectives

  • Responsible for monitoring and supervision of the day-to-day implementation of livelihood activities ensure it is in accordance to agreed work plan.
  • Coordinate with MEAL team to map, identify and register program participants.
  • Train targeted beneficiaries on the best practices through formal trainings, on-job mentorship and supportive supervision.
  • Support in formation of Village savings loan associations (VSLAs),
  • Participate in periodic program monitoring and evaluation activities including baselines, end lines, midterm reviews, lesson learning exercises and compilation of success stories.
  • Closely collaborate with other sector teams to ensure an integrated approach internally with WINN sectors and externally with complementary activities implemented by other early recovery actors.
  • Actively participate in area level food security and livelihood sector meetings.
  • Ensure timely submission of quality weekly and monthly activity reports.
  • Serve as technical focal person for all field level engagements.


Education:             Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Agriculture or relevant field required.

Experiences:          Minimum of 3 years of experience focused on persons with disability, VSLA, food security or livelihood, including community mobilization, participatory planning and rural/community development. Prior experience implementing projects with PWDs, agriculture or skill empowerment support programs is essential, preferably in conflict settings.

Competencies:       Analytical, monitoring and evaluation, and report writing skills, training and facilitation skills, ability to work under pressure, strong interpersonal, intercultural and communication skills, computer skills, Result oriented, team player, creativity, patience and for respect for others.

Languages:             English, Hausa and local language desirable


Title:                         Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

General Position Summary

The monitoring and evaluation officer will be responsible for developing the monitoring tools and primary analytical information of the situation in where WINN and its partners provide humanitarian services and also assists in program impact assessment, M&E capacity building and program reporting. He/she will be key person for regular compilation, verification, storage, consolidation of project data and giving real time information to program team of both WINN and partner organization.

Specific Objectives

  • Supervise and provide technical support to WINN and partner organization to implement the project data flow mechanism, application of database and data quality control tools.
  • Review project progress to support program implementation and planning.
  • Conduct field monitoring and evaluation to ensure quality project activities and develop propositions for improvement.
  • Ensure implementation of data collection methodologies and data quality control tools including a data collection sheet with regard to timing and frequency of data collection.
  • Ensure all M&E reports are produced with highest quality in a timely manner.
  • Monitor all project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output.
  • Recommend further improvement of the logical frame work.
  • Provide feedback to the Program Manager on project strategies and activities.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned to him/her.


Education:             Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, M&E, Business Admin, or any relevant field

Experiences:          2-3 years’ experience in a position of monitoring and evaluation of projects/proven experience at previous work positions, preferably an NGO

Competencies:       Result focus, teamwork, good analytical, communication and facilitation skills, problem solver, report writing.

Languages:             English, Hausa and local language desirable


Title:                      Finance Assistant

Location:                Kwaya Kusar, Borno state Nigeria
Position Status:       Full-time

Report Directly to:  Finance Manager

General Position Summary

The finance Assistant will work directly under the supervision of the Finance Manager and will be responsible for the day-to-day financial transactions, including expenses and payroll, maintaining cost reports and managing invoices.

Specific Objectives

  • Ensure that all financial transactions are processed accurately, in a timely manner, and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Identify problems and develop solutions for best financial practice
  • Manage the day-to-day functioning of the finance section, including cash disbursements, cash receipts, etc.
  • Establish an effective filing system which can provide easy access to information and proper documentation of all financial requirement
  • Act upon any complaint raised in respect to financial issues by all staff and beneficiaries and communicate feedback to them within 48 hours.
  • Prepare financial reports in line with donor requirements and templates. Thus, continuously staying abreast with donor policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Settlement/payment of employee monthly entitlements including salaries and allowances (DSA) as agreed, ensuring that all required statutory deductions are made and subsequently paid to the appropriate authorities.
  • Prepare for and support internal and external financial audits, providing all information required by local legislation, donors, HQ or other bodies.

Experiences:          Minimum of 1-2 years’ essential finance and accounting experience in an NGO.

Competencies:       Great knowledge of Excel and Excel functions, incredible attention to detail (accuracy), math skills, knowledge of accounting practices, honesty and integrity.

Languages:             English, Hausa and local language desirable


Title:                      Driver

Location:                Maiduguri, Borno state Nigeria
Position Status:       Full-time

Period:                     October, 2021 to September, 2022

Duration:                12Months

Resumption:            Immediately

Report Directly to:  Logistics Officer.

 General Position Summary

The Driver will be expected to provide driving support to the organization, while adhering to standard driving regulations. He/she will be responsible for providing a safe and reliable driving service and for transporting staff to and fro. He or she will also perform office related errands as requested, and transport staff/goods to field locations as assigned.

Specific Objectives

  • Transport staff and/or packages to and from destinations
  • Perform daily vehicle checks and report maintenance needs promptly.
  • Drive carefully and safely at all times in line with international and national driving standards.
  • Maintain a professional appearance by ensuring good personal hygiene.
  • Ensure that adequate knowledge of the destination and route is gathered before departure.
  • Maintain assigned vehicle in a clean and roadworthy state at all times.
  • Ensure that approval for repairs is always obtained before taking the vehicle to the garage.
  • Establishes good and considerate working relationships with all staff within and outside the organization, demonstrating respect for their own roles and responsibilities.
  • Be available outside standard hours in case of any emergency.
  • Ensure compliance with local administrative procedures required in the event of an accident.
  • Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip.
  • Assist staff with loading and unloading their luggage.
  • Obey all traffic laws.
  • Uphold a positive image of the organization by applying good and safe driving habits
  • Ensure that the vehicle is in good operating condition by testing the brakes, tires, lights and other components, complete the pre-trip inspection on a daily basis, and submit it to the Logistic Officer.
  • Ensure that all passengers have their seatbelts fastened before taking off and if they refuse report such cases to the Logistic Officer who in-turn report to the HR.
  • Transport only authorized staff.
  • Report minor and major accidents and complete required reports.
  • Complete diesel and oil log when filling the bus with petrol.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned to him/her.


Education:             SSCE with a valid driving license.

Experiences:          Minimum of 1-2 years’ proven driving experience.

Competencies:       Good navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications (GPS), time management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, physical strength, visual acuity, Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods, polite and professional disposition, calmness,

Languages:             English, Hausa and local language desirable
