We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchase Assistant to support our procurement team. This role involves assisting with the procurement process, managing inventory, and performing data entry tasks to ensure efficient and accurate purchasing operations.
Job Functions/Responsibilities
Assist in preparing and processing purchase orders.
Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery.
Help evaluate suppliers and monitor their performance.
Assist in maintaining and updating inventory records.
Monitor stock levels and report any discrepancies or shortages.
Accurately enter purchase orders, inventory data, and supplier information into the system.
Maintain organized records of purchases and supplier communications.
Assist with invoice processing and reconciliation.
Help with tracking expenses and maintaining financial records.
Provide support in preparing reports on purchasing and accounting activities.
Prepare reports on procurement and inventory status.
Assist with the coordination of vendor meetings and procurement documentation.
Requirements/Qualifications
At least OND, HND, or BSc in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
At least 1 year of experience in a purchasing or accounting role.
Strong organizational and data entry skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with procurement or accounting software is a plus.
QuickBooks experience is a plus.
