Job Summary

• Network Security Engineer will ensure that security infrastructures are designed and implemented to the highest security standards, thus maintaining, and enhancing customer trust.
• This role will also be responsible for providing pre-sales support to the sales team, network security expertise related to any of the following: new deployments (green and brown fields), support and turn up of customer security equipment, failover testing, monitoring network security devices, troubleshooting, investigation of events, debug, investigation of incidents, escalation or mitigation of incidents and events, network security analysis, or deployment of devices.

Job Description & Requirements

• Design, develop and modify technical network security solutions to meet customers’ expectations in collaboration with the pre-sales team.
• Network Implementation and support of multi-vendor products and environments – Cisco Firewalls, Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, Juniper, palo alto, SASE solutions (umbrella and Duo)
• Provide external customer support over the phone and/or email while maintaining compliance.
• Design, install, configure, and validate network security components.
• Security impact assessment for every new network activity and mitigation strategy implementation
• Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies.
• Participate in security compliance efforts such as ISO27001.
• Participate in tier 2 and tier 3 security operations support.

Qualifications and Competence

• 5-6 years of experience working with: Juniper, F5, Arbor, Cisco Routers & Switches, operating systems, (e.g., Windows and/or Linux), Network Administration, and TCP/IP
• At least 2 years of experience working with: Systems security, Network security, Firewalls, IDS / IPS, vulnerability assessments, incident response.
• Consistent implementation of security solutions at different levels
• Knowledge of network routing and security protocols and implementations: TCP/IP, SSL, IPSEC VPN, SSL VPN, and VLANs
• Critical Situation management coordination with the relevant technical teams.
• Excellent communication is a must.
• Perform preliminary investigations based on documented SOPs and escalate to support teams as needed.
• Knowledge of adjacent technologies, holding Cisco Certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) or industry recognized certifications is a plus.
• You have a passion for one or more technologies such as: Routing, Switching, Datacentre, Security, Virtualization, Service Provider, Cloud Provider, Wireless, Software or Network programmability & automation, or you demonstrate a strong willingness to learn.
• Certifications is a high advantage, especially on Juniper, F5 and Arbor.

Salary

• N500,000 monthly (Negotiable).
