Civil Defence Fire Immigration And Prisons Services Board (CDFIPB) was established by Decree No. 14 of July, 1986 as the ‘Customs, Immigration and Prisons Services Board’ under the Chairmanship of the Honourable Minister of Internal Affairs. The Board was charged with the responsibility of administering the Customs and Excise Management Act (CEMA) of 1958, the Immigration Act of 1963 and the Prisons Act of 1972.
